Hi there, and Happy New Year, AND Happy 2017! I hope you have all arrived safe in the New Year, with an open heart and mind. I had an idea about posting a happy new year update, just around the transition between 2016 and 2017. Being a bit busy, and not finding the right inspiration to write hold me back. And I have made peace with it. I am sure you have read enough new years posts already about setting your intention and aiming for a healthy you for the upcoming year, right?
I also thought about writing a bit about my last year, which has been a funny one, I must confess. But on the other hand. I am not here to share too much of my personal stuff with you - I am here to inspire you to take another step to become a happier and more peaceful version of your self.
And you know what? 2016 was just another 'standard' year, with a lot of growth, lessons that needed to be learned and so on. I spend four month living on a beautiful beach, sharing my passion for yoga - got hit by a coconut on my head - but the craziest is; I choose to spend my winter in Europe (!!!). It's been a while. But here I am - finding myself actually enjoying it. (okay - so there are those days where I wish I was somewhere warmer, dryer and less windy ... but must days I am fine). My survival kit is a lot of yoga, healthy and hearty food, saunas and making sure what ever I do is serving my heart. I have always known, but I really got to understand it these past months - it doesn't matter where you are in the world, as long as you follow your heart and your dreams.
So again, here I am - almost living my dream. My days are FULL of yoga, and I am so happy to share my passion. 2016 gave me the opportunity to connect and re-connect with some amazing people, which has been leading to a lot of good opportunities and work.
I have decided 2017 is going to be a year full of yoga, and I can already see now it's turning into reality. First of all; I have signed up for a new Yoga Teacher Training. This time based in Hatha Vinyasa. "Awakening the heart" - and my teacher is going to be Suzanna Faith assisted by my beautiful friend, Lauren Lee !! I am so excited, and SO ready to deepen my own practice, studying and learning. AND I AM GOING TO IBIZA! The magical Island. I've always heard, "It's either gonna kill you, or heal you". I am sure I am stepping into a healing process. So anyway, I am gone from the 24th of January to the 5th of February, and again from the 23rd of April to the 6th of May (more or less..)
On that note - hopefully before leaving, I will leave you with a "How to choose a Teacher Training, and what to prepare for" blogpost.
